Dr. Alice Squires serves on ASEE Diversity Committee – Turning Points Panel

ETM Faculty member Dr. Alice Squires, working with students, developed and planned the Turning Points panel for the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Diversity Committee.  She also moderated the panel at the last ASEE annual conference held in Seattle, WA.

The purpose of this panel is to have an open discussion of a diversity-related challenge that each panel member has faced that became a turning point in his or her life.  Panel members discussed races, disabilities, social, gender and other issues influence on turning points in their career. Call for papers for 10th annual IEEE International Systems Conference

The 10th annual IEEE International Systems Conference will address the discipline of systems engineering, including theory, technology, methodology, and applications of complex systems, system-of-systems, and integrated systems of national and global significance.

The conference caters to both practitioners and academics, providing a forum to exchange ideas and experiences on technology, methodology, applications, study cases, and practical experiences. For this purpose, the format of the submissions is divided in two categories, with different submission requirements.
• Case studies and practical experiences in the Industry: short papers presenting practical ideas, real cases, and practical achievements.
• Research and application papers: long manuscripts addressing novel ideas, theoretical issues, technology, methodology, and applications.
Papers of both categories should be submitted electronically to the EDAS IEEE SysCon 2016 Submission Portal at:
