A drink that built the nation, posted by WSU News quoted ETM student Marcus Robert, a Tieton Cider Works employee. Tieton Cider Works has recently been highlighted as a cidery that’s leading the way in modern cider apple orchard management, and partnering with Washington State University researchers to meet the demand for the current cider boom. Tieton Cider Works began as a two-acre test and is now a 30-acre orchard, becoming one of the largest in the country. Robert is enrolled in our ETM certificate Program through the Make it in Washington initiative along with student Robert McCurdy. Robert is part of the Manufacturing Leadership program while McCurdy is part of the Six Sigma Quality Management program.

ETM Faculty member Dr. Alice Squires, working with students, developed and planned the Turning Points panel for the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Diversity Committee. She also moderated the panel at the last ASEE annual conference held in Seattle, WA.
The purpose of this panel is to have an open discussion of a diversity-related challenge that each panel member has faced that became a turning point in his or her life. Panel members discussed races, disabilities, social, gender and other issues influence on turning points in their career. In response to recent attacks on major research universities including WSU, all WSU faculty, staff and students are reminded to reset the password for their WSU Network ID as soon as possible if they have not already done so since Aug. 20, 2015. This will help insure that their system access is secure and prevent potential service interruptions when password resets are enforced.
Open any browser and navigate to https://reset.wsu.edu for step by step instructions on how to reset your password.
Do remember, once you have reset your password, you will need to update your account information for wireless Internet access and applications on your mobile devices. Failure to do so may result in your account being locked out due to multiple failed attempts to connect with your account.

For those planning to graduate a list of steps to complete are at http://gradschool.wsu.edu/graduation-application/FALL 2015 graduates – deadline to Apply for Graduate Degree (without incurring a late fee) is Friday, October 9, 2015. If you are defending before October 9, 2015 you must Apply for your Graduate Degree at least 10 working days before your exam.
If you have already applied and you need to re-apply/update to graduate in a different semester, please contact the Graduate School at: firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, WSU ID# and the semester for which you need to reapply so we can send you a hard copy to update your Application.
DEFENSE/FINAL EXAM DEADLINE:
Fall 2015 graduates must successfully defend/pass their final exam on or before: November 25, 2015 (all completed ballot materials must be rec’d by 12/4/15)
