Professional Background

Upon retiring from Boeing in 2009, Dr. Gray joined the WSU METM Program as Associate Professor. Prior to that time, he was an Adjunct Professor for 11 years. While at Boeing he held positions in engineering and management in structural dynamics, avionics, and electromagnetics. While at Boeing, he served as the Boeing Corporate University Relations Continual Learning Manager, the System of Systems Specialty Engineering Manager and research manager in the Boeing Research and Technology Organization where he was also responsible for training development for the electrophysics skill. Gray is a Life Member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is a member of the American Society of Engineering Education, Phi Beta Kappa, Sociedad de lngenieros, and serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Engineering Management and Economics. He is a retired Major from the Army Reserve, having served two years active duty at the Army Command and Staff School and technical advisor to the Combat Developments Command, and 20 years in the reserves.
