Washington State University’s Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) Handshake Reception is an opportunity for ETM’s current, former, and future students to connect, meet and shake hands with ETM professors and administrators, and discuss career development through the sharing of experiences in the engineering and technical management fields.

Satre and his wife Jessie established the Wendell J. Satre Endowed Professorship to support teaching and research in the Engineering and Technology Management online master’s degree program at Washington State University. Mr. Satre appreciated his engineering education, but as he climbed the corporate leadership ladder he wished he had had more education in management. His gift allows the ETM program to support a faculty member in the pursuit of improving management education for technical managers. The ETM program is grateful for the endowment and wants to publicly recognize his ongoing gift by announcing the 2020 Wendell J. Satre Distinguished Professor during the ETM Handshake Reception.
