Academic and Course Requirements

Undergraduate Certificate

Academic Requirements
To be eligible to enroll in the ETM Advanced Undergraduate Certificate Program and receive a certificate, students must have an associate degree or equivalent course work (college algebra competency required). Exposure to disciplines in engineering or technology through study or employment is not required, but preferred.

Course Requirements
An ETM Advanced Undergraduate Certificate requires four courses (12 credit hours) in specialized areas. A certificate is awarded upon completion of these courses.

Graduate Certificate

Academic Requirements
Students must have a bachelor’s degree and have the background necessary to take graduate-level coursework in the technical area of specialization. Students must also be admitted to the WSU Graduate School. Exposure to disciplines in engineering or technology through study or employment is also required.

Course Requirements
An ETM Graduate Certificate requires four courses (12 credit hours) in specialized areas. A certificate is awarded upon completion of these courses and submission of the final paperwork.

Technology Requirements

Computer and broadband Internet access are required for ETM online courses. See complete technology requirements for the program.
