Angel to be replaced in January by better online course system: Blackboard Learn

Beginning Spring 2015 semester, WSU Global Campus courses will move from Angel to a new learning management system (LMS) called Blackboard Learn. This LMS is more streamlined, better integrates with third party programs, and offers mobile capabilities unavailable on Angel. Blackboard Learn received rave responses during the WSU usability studies, and we’re sure you will also enjoy its state-of-the-art functions and flexibility. We’ll be providing more information as the time grows near. If you want an advance view, Blackboard Learn has 24 brief videos that run the gamut from taking a test to checking your grades. Summer 2015 registration

Global campus: All continuing graduate students can enroll for summer 2015 on November 10th starting at 8:30 am. Non-degree students can enroll on November 19th for Global campus. New students will be given a registration appointment once they have accepted their offer of admission. This will be published in ZZUSIS.

U.S. News: WSU online programs among best for veterans

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University’s online graduate degree programs in business and engineering this week were named the nation’s third best online degree offerings for military veterans by U.S. News & World Report. The magazine also named WSU’s online bachelor’s degree program the eighth best in the nation for veterans.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University online graduate programs in business and engineering as well as the online bachelor’s degree program are among the best in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings released today.
