PULLMAN, Wash.—Washington State University’s Engineering and Technology Management (ETM) program is pleased to announce the return of its scholarship program, with applications opening next spring for awards beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.

Funded in part by the Wendell J. Satre Endowment and additional ETM development funds, this scholarship provides tuition assistance for up to 12 credits of E_M courses per academic year (August–July). It is designed to help students stay on track toward completing their degree—even in the face of challenges like unemployment, the loss of employer tuition support, or unexpected medical expenses.

“The return of the scholarship could not come at a more important time,” said Luna Magpili, director of the ETM program. “Recent layoffs across the engineering and tech sectors have had a real impact on our students. We’re deeply grateful to our donors for helping us re-establish this critical support.”

To qualify, applicants must be METM degree-seeking students in good academic standing, have completed at least 12 E_M credits at WSU, and submit a statement outlining their financial need and degree completion plan. The scholarship cannot be used for E_M 701.

Applications for the Fall 2026 award cycle will open in Spring 2026.

The announcement comes as part of the lead-up to WSU’s Annual Day of Giving, an opportunity for alumni, industry partners, and friends of the program to contribute directly to the success of ETM students.
