E M 595 Advanced Topics in Engineering Management – Construction Project Management

Course Description

This course covers construction project management principles relating to the people, processes, and tools used to plan, manage, and construct complex projects. Topics include preconstruction services, project controls, scope management, resource planning, earned value analysis, change management and risk assessment. Objectives for the class include establishing the benefits of a consistent, well-articulated project management program from design through construction. This includes understanding the use of alternate project delivery methods, technology, and integration of the project team.
