Degree opens new opportunities in midlife

Eric AbbottSEATTLE – Eric Abbott is always trying to get an edge, whether at work or racing with his cycling team. That’s the reason he enrolled in Washington State University’s online engineering and technology management program.

Electrical engineers honor alumna for long-time service

Evelyn Hirt receiving awardPULLMAN, Wash. – Evelyn Hirt has received the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) William W. Middleton Distinguished Service Award. She is an engineering and technology management (ETM) graduate (’02) of Washington State University.

The award is presented every three years by the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Board to honor someone “who, over a long and sustained period of leadership, contributed in an exemplary manner.” » More …
